Listening to your body and resting is really important in pregnancy but it is also easy to overlook because of work and looking after older children takes priority.
But it’s important to give yourself the opportunity for early nights, a weekend lie in and, when possible, an afternoon nap. It’s not lazy, it’s not indulgent, you don’t have to work through it and keep going, you need to rest.
There will be days when you have so much energy but there will be others when just getting out of bed is a challenge and you definitely feel like you are growing a human.
