It’s been a challenging week, juggling the needs of my family, while being busy with work and trying to stay as sane as possible. While I’d love to drink several glasses of wine, I can’t, this is about living with the discomfort of the challenges, trying to help and support and easing my own stress and anxiety.
We all have weeks like this, even though the challenges are individual to us, when we need to keep going. Managing stress and anxiety for me is about acknowledging it rather than trying to pretend it isn’t happening.
Talking helps, as does writing things down, and I’ve been using my breathing every day to manage and head off anxiety, which is nicely bubbling away under the surface.
Relax & breathe for during the day…
You can head to Breathing Space for more relax & breathe resources.
As a parent, when stressful situations happen we often need to keep going - it could caused by work, money, illness, moving house or relationship issues but the kids still need looking after, the household still needs to run, the family needs to function.
So, it can help to find what works for you when you feel stressed or anxious and this can also depend what causes it and what your head space is like.
And now it’s the weekend, I also need to walk on the beach and I need to see Barbie.
I’d love your comments and questions.
