Welcome to Birth & Baby Conversations

This is a space for anyone who is interested in birth, babies and early parenting

“Janine’s approach is warm, welcoming and direct, she provided information in a way that made sense to me.”

Hello!

I am Janine, an antenatal and postnatal specialist, working with parents for over 20 years. I have a small, busy practice and I have created this online space, away from social media, for you to gather information, to ask questions and to feel part of a supportive community.

As a practitioner, I facilitate courses and group discussion, provide 1:1 sessions and create content and resources. Through my practice I provide information, support and reassurance - based on evidence and experience - to help expectant and new parents prepare, plan and navigate the changes.

With regular posts, you can know more about birth and babies and to think about your expectations, considerations and your individual needs for birth and life with your baby.

My approach as a practitioner is to provide simple and straight-forward information and to encourage you to think about what you need and what could make a difference to you.

My aim here is to share short, useful and practical posts to strengthen your knowledge and to give you more confidence and reassurance.

What you can expect here:

You can subscribe for free
to receive the weekly Notes For Parents newsletter, which has a focus on parent wellbeing. You can also ask questions and share comments with each Note.

Why become a paid subscriber?

  • online chat on Mondays

for ongoing information, support and a place to ask questions

“Janine has a wealth of knowledge and she happily answered our questions and gave use the reassurance we needed to feel better prepared and able.”

“We gained lots of information and tools that helped us make decisions for birth and when our daughter was here.”

“You gave us a wide range of information and points to consider in preparation for birth and life with our new baby.”

As well as working with a lot of expectant and new parents, I am also a mum of three and an aunt of three, and I know how different it can be for each family - this is why I encourage you to go beyond the information and to think about what matters to you and what can work for you and your baby.

It would also be great if you could share my posts and please do tell any friends about Birth & Baby Conversations.
